The final design

I made my final design model on tuesday.Im uploading my final design model of light right now , but the sketches would have to wait for a while after the presentation tomorrow.
Comparing to my previous design, now there is more development on the idea of free form and dynamic.The wings of the design are no longer fixed together but being hung separately from the main structure of the light bulb.Because the wings are made from cardboard, they are so light and active that anyone passing it would cause some sort of change in form.
After casting light on it at night I found the shadows on the light would enhance the above concept, turning, moving, spinning and creating various lighting effect.

 I really like this shot because it remind me of the feeling of waking up and seeing a ray of light entering our sight as our mind start to wonder in confusion.

 This shot is from bottom to top, it shows the structure of the light very clearly, the spiraling up and the delicacy of the rays coming out from the laser-cut wings.

 The series of dynamic shots is essential in creating the waking up in the morning atmosphere, as you wake up from the ground of the park(my place to wake up), you are not the only one waking up,the birds around you could also be waking up. And the movement of one moving and waking could scare the birds and they would open their wings and shot out into the sky, creating nothing but a series of dynamic movements in the sky.

The next thing I'm going to do is to make a stand or a board to enhance the structure while adding virtual effect on the light.
